14th Jive Cape Town Funny Festival

The 14th Jive Cape Town Funny Festival is currently underway at the Baxter Theatre. You can expect plenty of laughs from both international and local acts. Our favourites include the talented Tats Nkonzo (Johannesburg), the hilarious Mooky Cornish (Canada) & the legendary Marc Lottering (cape Ton)! Not forgetting the MC for the show Alan Committee, he’ll keep you entertained & laughing the entire night for sure! Fair warning though, do NOT arrive late for the show.

The management of Table Mountain National Park would like to inform its day visitors to the park that water saving measures have been implemented especially in picnic areas such as Bordtjiesdrift and Buffelsbay in Cape Point, Boulders as well as in some of the other picnic sites which include Tokai, Silvermine and Oudekraal.

Bontebok were once so numerous in the Cape that the first colonists considered them to be pests. The wanton slaughter of the animals eventually decimated the population. By the mid-1920s, there were less than 20 bontebok in the Cape.
