Cape Point will remain closed as advised by SANParks on Sunday, 31 May 2020. South African National Parks released the below statement with regards to the Level 3 lockdown.
“SANParks would like to announce that only its open-access national parks namely Golden Gate Highlands-, parts of Garden Route- and Table Mountain National Park with the exception of Boulders Beach and Cape Point will allow access to visitors from Monday, 1 June 2020.
The Minister of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries will release a statement in due course regarding the opening of the other parks.”

Good day, Celeste, given the latest lockdown alert level 3 regulations, the following rules have been put in place:
· No Social gatherings
· Bordjiesrif and Platboom ablutions closed
· Buffelsbay – Beach, Picnic, braai places and Tidal closed
· Bordjiesrif – Tidal pool, braai places and picnic closed
· Consumption of alcohol at any of the TMNP Managed sites
· All beaches closed. This affects the Shipwreck trail and will be closed too.
· All Surfing is not permitted and no related equipment permitted eg. surfboards/bodyboards etc. will be allowed into the park
Permitted activities include walking, hiking and cycling, fishing & launching of boats. All accommodation units are available.
