We also meet Hugh Taylor, one of South Africa’s greatest botanists whose ambitious project to categorise the Cape floral kingdom on the wind-scoured plains and wave-battered outcrops of Cape Point revolutionised the field of Cape botany, as well as founding the Botanical Research Institute.
