Cape Point Explorer route reminder

Don’t feel like driving your vehicle to Cape Point? No problem! The City Sightseeing coach has got you covered with its Cape Point Explorer route.

The Cape Point Explorer leaves Cape Town in the morning and starts with a scenic drive to Boulders Beach, through Muizenberg and Fish Hoek.  After visiting the penguins, your next stop is Cape Point which includes an optional hike to the Cape of Good Hope headland.

The Cape Point Explorer will run daily with staggered departure times from 9.45am from select City Sightseeing bus stops in Camps Bay, Sea Point, Green Point and the city, as well as City Sightseeing tour offices at stop 1 (V&A Waterfront) and stop 5 (Long Street). The return time is approximately 5.30pm.

Cost: R740 for adults (12 and up) and R375 for children aged two to 11. Buy online and save: adults pay R720. This includes entrance to the Cape Point Nature Reserve entrance and a live guided tour in English.
Excluded: Lunch, entrance to Boulders Beach and the cost of the Flying Dutchman funicular (if required) at Cape Point.

By selecting the City Sightseeing Cape Point explorer, it allows you to take your time and just take all of the beautiful surroundings in. After a day spent exploring, you can enjoy the coastal drive back to Cape Town via Scarborough and Kommetjie, with spectacular views from the Ou Kaapse Weg mountain pass.

Tickets are also available from bus drivers, subject to availability. When booking, make sure you state your pick-up point.
