Cape Point is on the Board and Indigo is our colour.

Mr Monopoly was spotted at Cape Point last week. While visiting Cape Town he decided to make it his home with the launch of the Cape Town Monopoly board and Cape Point has proudly landed the most prestigious property on the board game. One of the Indigo title deeds belongs to Cape Point.

The property trading board game features the Cape Town Big 7 attractions, which each hold a position on the official game.

The Big 7 properties:

Big 7: Property on the board:
Cape Point Indigo
Table Mountain Cableway Orange
Groot Constantia Brown
Robben Island Brown
V&A Waterfront Indigo
Kirstenbosch Orange
City Walk Orange

According to the CEO of Cape Town Partnership Bulelwa Makalima-Ngewana “as a marketing collective we seek innovative ways to keep the Cape Town Big 7 front of mind and having our attractions featured on an iconic board game like Monopoly presents a long-term opportunity for us to show off the 7 things you must do if you live in or visit Cape Town”. She continued to say that “our attractions are merely a gateway to the rest of the Cape Town experience. The Monopoly Cape Town board promotes the variety of things to do in Cape Town and will motivate visitors to spend more time here and to visit regularly.”

The official launch took place today and it was a roaring success. Here are some of the highlights of the event.

Other Cape Town locations feature on Monopoly Cape Town include The Springbok Experience, Two Oceans Aquarium, Newlands Cricket Ground, Chapman’s Peak Drive, Cape Town International Airport, Port of Cape Town, Boulder’s beach, City Sightseeing Bus and Simon’s Town.
