Mr Monopoly made his way to Cape Point recently, where he was spotted looking dapper and at home exploring Cape Point and all it has to offer. We spotted him taking a ride on the Flying Dutchman Funicular, making his way up to the Lighthouse and enjoying the view at the lookout point.

Flying Dutchman Funicular - Planned Closure

The funicular will be out of service from 20 July to 31 August 2026 while essential upgrade and maintenance works are carried out. A shuttle service will be available. The lighthouse area remains accessible on foot.
